Farfugium japonicum 'Shishi Botan'- A fabulously crested Farfugium! The fuzzy, grey-green leaves are heavily ruffled on the margins, with pronounced white veins and very fuzzy undersides that curl over to give a fantastic contrast to the upper surface of the leaf. Produces a nice, compact mound approx. 18 inches high by 24 inches across. In late summer through fall, large branched stems of yellow daisy-like flowers are produced. A must have for the collector of exceptional foliage forms.
Regular to rich soil and regular water. Can be used as a marginal plant around a pond.
Hardy to 0 degrees F. it will die back in cold winter areas and shoot back up in the spring. In mild areas it is evergreen.
