A gorgeous tree-form cactus , native to a very limited area in Haiti. Nearly extinct in it's native habitat. Grows to 20 ft. in height, with large, flat, glossy green pads and rich golden-orange flowers that fade to dark orange. Quite spiny in it's juvenile form but nearly spineless as it matures. Very drought tolerant and a striking, unusual addition to the drought-tolerant garden.
Full to part sun, well-drained soil, occasional to little water.
Hardy to approx 25-30 degrees F. with some cover to prevent pad damage.USDA zones 9b-13b
